Competition at Eindhoven Atletiek
These photos were taken during an athletic competition that was held on the 25/5/12 on the wonderful track field of Eindhoven Atleiek club in Eindhoven.
The nature if this work is quite experimental as I had no experience in sport photography.
The competition started at 19:00, so the lighting was not at its peak intensity. On the other hand, sunset was only after 21:00 so I did have sun light to the end of it.
For my fellow photographers - should you try sports too and want to knew what I learned:
Don't use flash - you need to take photos in high speed, 1/1000 preferable, so the flash will not synchronize anyway.
When shooting runners, take the photos when they face the sun. Then you will have much better lighting conditions.
Look around the participants. Sometime the others - organizers, staff members and supporters can be the subject to good pictures.
